Race

People of a different race, who are minorities, may have a more difficult time having access to computers outside of school. This is why it is important that teachers “ensure that all students have sufficient access to computers and internet, regardless of gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, and disability” (Bitter and Legacy, 245). By doing this teachers will help close the digital divide. This is because, now no matter what a child’s background is, they will all have an equal chance to use technology and succeed in the future.
